Stop/Disconnect Service with BVU

Prepare Your Information. To request a disconnect, the primary account holder must have the following information ready:

  • Account number from the BVU bill
  • Primary account holder’s last 4 of Social Security number or verification of EIN number
  • The effective date you would like service to be turned off
  • The address where you would like us to mail the final bill (mandatory)

File Disconnect Request. Contact Customer Service at 276-669-4114 during normal business hours to file your request for disconnection of services.

Time for Processing. Services will be disconnected at your residence within three business days of your request. Once your disconnect is complete, we will apply any deposits to the balance on the account.

  • If the deposit is greater than your account balance, we will issue you a refund check for any excess funds.
  • If the account balance is greater than your deposit, we will issue a final bill to your new address.
